*Lygodium japonicum (Thunberg) Swartz. Japanese Climbing Fern. Phen: Jun-Dec. Hab: Disturbed areas. Dist: Native of e. Asia. Described in Small (1913a) as "escaped from cultivation along roadsides near Thomasville, Georgia".

Other Comments: The leaves (up to 30 m in length!) climb into the canopy of trees in swamp forests and other wet habitats.
