Tillandsia bartramii Elliott. Bartram's Airplant. Hab: On tree branches in bayswamps, tidal swamp forests, and mesic hardwood bluffs (hammocks). Dist: E. GA south through FL; disjunct to Mexico and Guatemala.

Origin/Endemic status: Native

Other Comments: In five counties in e. GA, as far north as Liberty County (Jones & Coile 1988), and reported for SC as extirpated (Kartesz 1999).
