*Juncus inflexus Linnaeus. Subgenus: Agathryon. Section: Juncotypus. European Meadow Rush. Phen: Jun-Aug. Hab: Seeps and calcareous wet meadows, usually over limestone or dolomite, disturbed wet or moist ground. Dist: Native of Eurasia.

ID notes:Among species of section Genuini (species with lateral inflorescence), J. inflexus is easily distinguished by the relatively large and dark capsules, and densely stooling inflorescence.
