Carex bicknellii Britton. Section: [26q] Section 12 Ovales. Bicknell’s Sedge. Phen: Apr-Jul. Hab: Dry prairies, eastwards (SC) in prairie-like openings and barrens over gabbro or serpentine. Dist: ME west to SK, south to DE, OH, MO, OK, and NM; disjunct in nc. SC (where first reported by Hill & Horn 1997).

Origin/Endemic status: Native
