CYPERACEAE

Carex bromoides Willdenow ssp. bromoides . Common Brome Sedge. Phen: Feb-Jul. Hab: Swamp forests, bogs, seeps, hydric hammocks, other wetlands, often associated with base-rich soils. Dist: Ssp. bromoides ranges from NB west to e. MN, south to c. peninsular FL and e. TX; disjunct in s. Mexico.

Origin/Endemic status: Native
