Carex muehlenbergii Schkuhr ex Willdenow var. muehlenbergii. Common name: Muehlenberg’s Sedge. Phenology: Apr-May. Habitat: Dry to dry-mesic hammocks and woodlands. Distribution: ME, ON, and MN south to Panhandle FL and c. TX.
