*Carex praegracilis W. Boott. Section: [26i] Section 6 Divisae. Freeway Sedge. Phen: May-Jun. Hab: Medians of interstate highways. Dist: Native of w. North America south to c. Mexico. This species is apparently spreading through ne. North America as the result of the winter salting of highways.
