Carex striata Michaux var. striata . Section: [26oo] Section 28 Paludosae. Walter’s Sedge, Pocosin Sedge. Phen: May-Jun. Hab: Pocosins, limesink ponds, small depression ponds, clay-based Carolina bays, acid peaty swamps, wet savannas (dominated by Pinus serotina and/or Taxodium ascendens). Dist: SC south to c. FL and Panhandle FL.

Origin/Endemic status: Endemic
