*Cheilanthes viridis (Forsskål) Swartz var. viridis . Common name: Green Cliffbrake. Habitat: Wet hammocks, outcrop of Altamaha Grit. Distribution: Native of Africa. This species is naturalized on an Altamaha Grit outcrop in Coffee County, GA (J. Allison, pers. comm.).
Origin/Endemic status: Subsaharan Africa
Other Comments: Various infraspecific taxa have been recognized in the native range.
