Eleocharis baldwinii (Torrey) Chapman. Baldwin’s Spikerush. Phen: May-Sep. Hab: Bogs, pools, acid impoundment shores. Often growing in dense mats in very wet, saturated sandy firelanes or disklines in fire-managed habitats or other somewhat-disturbed wet, acidic, sandy habitats. Dist: VA south to FL, west to AR and TX.

ID notes:Often proliferous.
