Eleocharis verrucosa (Svenson) L.J. Harms. Phen: Mar-Sep. Hab: Bogs and seeps. Dist: NJ, PA, WI, and s. SD south to GA, a. AL, s. MS, s. LA, and se. TX.

ID notes:E. verrucosa can have sheaths with or without apical teeth. It is the most commonly, and often the only encountered member of the E. tenuis complex further west in our flora region (although see note under E. elliptica, with which it could be confused).
