ID notes:Rhynchospora chapmanii always has pale tawny spikelets, thus differing from other beaksedges with which it may grow; most other Rhynchospora species have darker spikelets, while a few have bright white spikelets (which when faded to tan late in the season could be confused with R. chapmanii, but R. chapmanii hs achenes with a smooth surface and absent bristles).
