Rhynchospora elliottii A. Dietrich. Elliott's Beaksedge. Phen: Jul-Sep. Hab: Pine savannas, ditches, other wet habitats, often weedy. Dist: Se. NC south to c. peninsular FL and west to e. TX; Bahamas.

ID notes: The achenes are typically flat or concave on one face, and flat or slightly convex on the other. See note under R. microcarpa.
