*Arthraxon hispidus (Thunberg) Makino var. hispidus. Common name: Basket Grass, Joint-head Grass. Phenology: Sep-Nov. Habitat: Moist ditches, bottomlands, disturbed areas. Distribution: Native of se. Asia. Like Microstegium, Arthraxon is steadily and aggressively increasing its abundance across most of our region.
