Cyperus species 1 . Diminutive Flatsedge. Phen: Jul-Oct. Hab: Infrequent to locally abundant (following soil disturbance) on Florida scrub, stabilized dunes, and sandridges, generally on open white sands, near the coast but also inland on riverine (and aeolian?) dunes. Dist: Se. VA south to s. FL, west to s. MS.
