Glyceria laxa (Lamson-Scribner) Lamson-Scribner. Lax Mannagrass. Phen: Jun-Aug. Hab: Bogs, fens, seeps, wet meadows. Dist: PE south to NC, mostly Appalachian.

Origin/Endemic status: Native

Taxonomy Comments: Though often described as a hybrid of G. canadensis and either G. striata var. striata and/or G. grandis var. grandis, G. laxa ranges south of the distribution of both G. canadensis and G. grandis var. grandis. It is best considered as a species, perhaps of hybrid origin.
