Glyceria obtusa (Muhlenberg) Trinius. Common name: Coastal Mannagrass. Phenology: Jun-Sep. Habitat: Blackwater swamp forests, streamhead pocosins, wet meadows, freshwater marshes, in a wide variety of peaty, acidic soils. Distribution: NS south to SC, on or near the Coastal Plain; disjunct to w. VA in Shenandoah Valley sinkhole ponds.
