Origin/Endemic status: Native

Taxonomy Comments: This species is a fertile allotetraploid derived from hybridization of D. intermedia and the northern and western D. expansa (C. Presl) Fraser-Jenkins & Jermy, which does not (now) reach our area. The chromosome complement is symbolized EEII.
