Coleataenia pulchra (F. Dietrich) Mabberley & LeBlond. Common name: Tall Flat Panic Grass. Phenology: Aug-Oct. Habitat: Marshes, low woods, ditches, swamps, shores, meadows, beaver marshes. Distribution: CT and NY west to IN, south to GA, LA, and ne. TX.

Origin/Endemic status: Native

Taxonomy Comments: Mabberley (2020) explained the nomenclatural reasons for replacing C. stipitata with C. pulchra.
