*Phyllostachys bambusoides Siebold & Zuccarini. Common name: Giant Timber Bamboo. Habitat: Cultivated as an ornamental, persistent or spreading from plantings. Distribution: Native of China.

Origin/Endemic status: E. and se. Asia
