*Rottboellia cochinchinensis (Loureiro) W.D. Clayton. Itch Grass. Phen: Jul-Nov. Hab: Disturbed ground, pine rocklands, pine savannas, fruit groves. Dist: Native of tropical se. Asia. This grass, considered a noxious weed, was found in at least 13 GA counties by 1985 (Duncan 1985; Carter, Baker, & Morris 2009), on a farm in Robeson County, NC in 1984, in cornfields in Westmoreland County, VA in 2007, and in Berkeley County, SC in 2013.

Origin/Endemic status: Paleotropics

Synonymy: = Ar, FlGr, FNA25, Il, K1, K3, K4, WH3, Wipff & Rector (1993); = Manisuris exaltata (L.f.) Kuntze – S; = n/a – C, RAB; = Rottboellia exaltata L.f. – Bah, HC
