Nandina domestica Thunberg. Nandina, Sacred-bamboo. Phen: May-Jun; Oct-Nov. Hab: Forests and woodlands in suburban areas, commonly planted, increasingly escaping and naturalizing. Dist: Native of China. Nandina has numerous cultivated forms, and is widely planted, especially southward.
