Anemone lancifolia Pursh. Section: Anemone. Subsection: Anemonanthea. Lanceleaf Anemone. Phen: Mar-May. Hab: Rich, moist soils on slopes or in bottomlands. Dist: Appalachian: w. MD and n. WV south to n. GA, in and near the Appalachians.

ID notes:Anemone lancifolia is a somewhat larger plant than the closely related A. quinquefolia.
