Hab: Disturbed rich forests and bottomlands, mesic suburban forests, lawns, naturalized locally from horticultural plantings. Dist: Native of Europe. Naturalized in the US in CT, DC, DE, MA, MD, MI, MO, NH, NJ, NY, OH, OR, PA, VA, WA, WV (Post et al. 2009).
