Heuchera puberula Mackenzie & Bush. Section: Holochloa. Subsection: Villosae. Ozark Grotto Alumroot. Hab: Riparian areas, and also shaded cliff bases. Dist: Apparently restricted to the Ozark Plateau; references to this taxon occurring east of the Mississippi River appear to be based on misidentifications of H. parviflora, based on aberrant glabrous specimens otherwise consistent with the latter taxon.

Origin/Endemic status: Endemic

Taxonomy Comments: See Folk & Freudenstein (2014, 2015) for discussion of this species.

Synonymy: = F, G, K4, Folk & Freudenstein (2015), Rosendahl, Butters, & Lakela (1936); = Heuchera parviflora Bartl. var. puberula (Mack. & Bush) E.F.Wells – Ar, C, FNA8, K1, K3, Wells (1984); < Heuchera puberula Mack. & Bush – S13
