*Alysicarpus ovalifolius (Schumacher) J. Léonard. Alyce Clover. Phen: Sep-Nov. Hab: Disturbed areas. Dist: Native of the Old World Tropics, planted as a forage crop (at least formerly), and rarely naturalized. The VA occurrence is from chrome ore piles in Newport News and presumably a waif. Present in the SC Coastal Plain (Bradley et al. [in prep.]).

Origin/Endemic status: Paleotropics

Synonymy: = Fl3, FNA11.1, K3, K4, WH3, Woods & Diamond (2016); = n/a – C, RAB; < Alysicarpus vaginalis (L.) DC. – Ar, K1, SE3, Isely (1998)
