Lupinus perennis Linnaeus var. gracilis (Nuttall) Chapman. Southern Sundial Lupine. Phen: (Mar-) Apr-Jul (-Oct). Hab: Longleaf pine sandhills and sandy or dry rocky roadsides. Dist: E. GA (immediately across the Savannah River from SC), south to n. FL and west to s. AL.

Origin/Endemic status: Endemic

Taxonomy Comments: The validity of this taxon is uncertain; the differences may be only clinal.

Synonymy: = Isely (1998); = Lupinus nuttallii S.Watson – S; = Lupinus perennis L. ssp. gracilis (Nutt.) Dunn – K1, K3, K4, SE3; < Lupinus perennis L. – C, FNA11.1, G, Pa, RAB, S13, WH3
