Rhynchosia michauxii Vail. Michaux's Snoutbean. Phen: Jun-Aug; Aug-Oct. Hab: Longleaf pine sandhills, dry hammocks, disturbed areas. Dist: Se. NC (one record) and e. GA (one record) south to s. peninsular FL, west to Panhandle FL. The disjunct sites are of uncertain origin.

Origin/Endemic status: Endemic

Synonymy: = Fl3, FNA11.1, K1, K3, K4, S, SE3, WH3, Isely (1998), Woods & Key (2009); = Dolicholus michauxii (Vail) Vail – S13; = Rhynchosia americana (Mill.) Metz – RAB, the identification as R. americana based on misidentification of the specimen
