Robinia nana Elliott. Sandhill Bristly Locust, Dwarf Bristly Locust. Phen: Apr-Jun; Jul-Oct. Hab: Longleaf pine sandhills, dry rocky forests (especially associated with chestnut oak). Dist: Se. and nc. NC south through SC to GA and AL.

Origin/Endemic status: Endemic

Other Comments: This species fruits infrequently.
