Hab: Moist to dry forests, southwards mostly at moderate to high elevations. Dist: NB and QC west to SK, south to CT, NY, WI, and in the Appalachians south to w. NC, nw. SC, n. GA, and e. TN.

Origin/Endemic status: Native
