Aronia arbutifolia (Linnaeus) Persoon. Red Chokeberry. Phen: Late Feb-May; Sep-Nov. Hab: Bogs, pocosins, wet savannas, swamps, other wet habitats. Dist: NL (Newfoundland) south to c. peninsular FL and west to TX, mainly in the Coastal Plain, but extending inland in the south to WV and KY.
