Rubus hispidus Linnaeus. Common name: Swamp Dewberry, Bristly Dewberry. Phenology: May-Jun; Jun-Jul. Habitat: Bogs, moist woodlands and forests, disturbed moist areas. Distribution: Nova Scotia and Québec west to Wisconsin, south to n. South Carolina, n. and wc. Georgia (Carter, Baker, & Morris 2009), and Missouri.
