*Ulmus parvifolia Jacquin. Common name: Chinese Elm, Lacebark Elm. Phenology: Aug-Oct; Sep-Nov. Habitat: Disturbed secondary forests, roadsides, fencerows, old fields, other disturbed areas. Distribution: Native of China and Japan. The bark on mature trees exfoliates creating a patchwork of gray, brown, green, and orange blotches.
