Quercus elliottii Wilbur. Running Oak. Phen: Mar-Apr; Sep (of the first year). Hab: Pine flatwoods, especially on loamy soils in the Middle Coastal Plain, pine rocklands. Dist: A Southeastern Coastal Plain endemic: se. NC south to s. FL and west to s. MS.
