Quercus durandii Buckley var. durandii. Common name: Durand's Oak, Bastard Oak, Durand's White Oak. Phenology: Apr-May; Sep-Nov (of the same year). Habitat: Calcareous bluffs, glades, prairies, ravines, hardwood flatwoods, bottomland forests. Distribution: Se. SC south to FL Panhandle, west to e. TX and sw. AR.
Origin/Endemic status: Endemic
Taxonomy Comments: The name Q. sinuata was interpreted by Ward (2007d) as most likely to apply to the hybrid Q. falcata × phellos, and he neotypified the name based on that basis.
