*Moeroris tenella (Roxburgh) R.W. Bouman. Mascarene Island Leaf-flower. Hab: Disturbed areas, especially in and around greenhouses. Dist: Native of the Mascarene Islands. This species appeared in FL in the 1920s, s. GA in the 1940s, SC in the 1950s, NC in the 1960s, and TN in the 1970s (Kral 1981). Reported from a single collection from VA, as a "contaminant in a container plant" (Virginia Botanical Associates 2007).
