Viola brittoniana Pollard. Northern Coastal Violet, Coast Violet. Phen: Apr-May. Hab: Moist to seasonally inundated sandy soils of fields, meadows, trail edges, and forest clearings adjacent to rivers and coastal marshes, also peaty river shores. Dist: MA to SC, along the coast.
