Rhexia ventricosa Fernald & Griscom. Swollen Meadow-beauty. Phen: Jun-Sep. Hab: Pine flatwoods and savannas, clearings in cypress-hardwood swamps, ditches, wet roadsides. Dist: S. NJ south to e. SC.

Origin/Endemic status: Endemic

Taxonomy Comments: This taxon is seemingly closely related to R. interior Pennell, which is distributed west of the Appalachians.
