*Acer ginnala Maximowicz. Section: Ginnala. Amur Maple. Phen: Apr-Jun. Hab: Cultivated, rarely and sparingly escaped to roadsides, disturbed areas, and suburban woodlands. Dist: Native of e. Asia. Reported as "cultivated and occasionally escaped" in s. PA (Rhoads & Klein 1993; Rhoads & Block 2007).

Other Comments: Closely similar is Acer tataricum; it and A. ginnala are sometimes treated as only varietally or subspecifically distinct. Acer tataricum is used sparingly in horticulture and may naturalize. It differs from A. ginnala in having leaves unlobed or with only obscure side lobes
