plant sale text: This attractive and hardy bog plant is seen growing in marshes and along shorelines, emerging from slow-moving water. Many small flowers, each only about 1/8 inch across, are borne in large panicles. The flowers attract many pollinators. Each flower is replaced by a seedhead (technically a tight cluster of achenes) which keeps the showy look of the panicles well past the month of flowering. Its leaves grow in a basal rosette, about 1 foot in height.
