Persicaria densiflora (Meisner) Moldenke. Section: Persicaria. Dense-flower Smartweed. Phen: Jun-Oct. Hab: Swamp forests. Dist: The Persicaria glabra complex is widespread in the Neotropics, in North America north to s. NJ, VA, KY, MO, and TX. The distribution of Persicaria densiflora is unclear.

Origin/Endemic status: Native

Taxonomy Comments: Persicaria densiflora, the American component of the pantropical Persicaria glabra complex, seems to warrant recognition.
