Froelichia gracilis (W.J. Hooker) Moquin-Tandon. Common name: Slender Cottonweed. Phenology: Jun-Oct. Habitat: Dry soils; eastwards adventive in vacant lots, sandy fields, railroad banks. Distribution: Native of mw. United States and n. Mexico (Chihuahua, Coahuila, Nuevo León, Sonora, Tamaulipas), the eastern limit of its native distribution uncertain.
