Symphoricarpos albus (Linnaeus) Blake var. albus . Common name: Common Snowberry. Phenology: Jun; Sep. Habitat: Limestone woodlands. Distribution: QC west to s. AK, south to w. VA, WV, MI, MN, and CA; the original native distribution somewhat uncertain due to cultivation and escapes

Taxonomy Comments: Var. albus is the more eastern variety.
