Cliftonia monophylla (Lamarck) Britton ex Sargent. Common name: Black Titi, Buckwheat-tree. Phenology: Late Feb-May. Habitat: Acid bogs, bayheads, swamps, and streambanks. Distribution: Se. SC south to n. FL, west to se. LA.
