ERICACEAE

Lyonia ferruginea (Walter) Nuttall. Crookedwood, Dragonwood, Staggerbush. Phen: Feb-May; Apr-Oct. Hab: Dry oak and pine woodlands, Florida scrub, scrubby pine flatwoods, rarely pocosins, spodosolic flatwoods. Dist: Se. SC south to sc. peninsular FL, west to Panhandle FL; allegedly disjunct in Mexico (CHP, HID, OAX, PUE, VER) (Villasenor 2016).

Origin/Endemic status: Endemic

Syn: = Fl5, FNA8, GW2, K1, K3, K4, WH3, Judd (1981), Luteyn et al (1996); = Xolisma ferruginea – S; < Lyonia ferruginea – RAB
