Rhododendron periclymenoides (Michaux) Shinners. Wild Azalea, Pinxterflower, Pinxterbloom Azalea, Election Pink. Phen: Late Mar-May; Sep-Oct. Hab: Moist to dry slopes and streambanks. Dist: Fairly widespread in e. United States, ranging from MA, NY, and s. OH, south to GA and AL.
