Vaccinium stamineum Linnaeus var. stamineum . Common Deerberry. Phen: Apr-Jun; Aug-Oct. Hab: Xeric to submesic woodlands, forests, and rock outcrops (unlike most Vaccinium, often on mafic, ultramafic, or calcareous rocks). Dist: MA, NY, s. ON, and MO south to Panhandle FL and TX.
