Galium bermudense Linnaeus. Coastal Bedstraw. Phen: Jun-Aug; Aug-Sep. Hab: Maritime forests, longleaf pine sandhills, dry sandy forests. Dist: S. NJ south to FL, west to LA, primarily on the Coastal Plain; Bahamas; Bermuda.

Origin/Endemic status: Native

Taxonomy Comments: This species has long been generally known as G. hispidulum Michaux, but G. bermudense Linnaeus has priority and that name has been clearly established to apply to this species (Reveal et al. 2007).
