Origin/Endemic status: Neotropics
Synonymy: = Fl5, K1, K3, K4, Meso4.2, WH3, Rogers (2005); = Mitracarpus hirtum – Tx, orthographic variant; ? Mitracarpus villosus (Sw.) Cham. & Schltdl. ex DC.
