Gentiana flavida A. Gray. Section: Pneumonanthe. Pale Gentian. Phen: Aug-Oct. Hab: Moist meadows, prairies, glades, openings in mesic forests. Dist: MI west to MN, south to n. AR; with scattered disjunctions eastward to PA, OH, WV, KY, and w. NC.

Origin/Endemic status: Native

Taxonomy Comments: The nomenclatural issues surrounding the correct name of this species (summarized at one point by Wilbur 1988c) have remained arcane; Pringle (2023) settled on G. flavida (see discussions).
